The Hurricane Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 24, 2010 at 6 PM to hear comments on a proposed Reasonable Accommodation for a residential facility for persons with a disability. The property is located at 385 South 800 West.

This hearing will be held at the Hurricane City Council chambers 147 North 870 West.

Mayor Hirschi announced the appointment of Sherrill Nelson and Ralph Ballard to the Planning Commission at the 2-14 Council Meeting.

Dean McNeill and Charles Reeve will serve on the Airport Board. Tonya Jocelyn will fill a seat on the Board of Adjustments.

The Hurricane City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on February 11, 2010 to consider and take comments on a Zone Change on 44 +acres from M-1 Light Industrial, to R-1-6 (Single Family residential 6 on 5.37 acres, RM-2 (Multiple-family residential 2) on 5.37 acres, RM-3(Multi-family residential 3) on 15.73 acres, and NC (Neighborhood Commercial) on 15.18 acres, located at SE corner of 600 North and 700 West ,West of the Hurricane Middle School, south of City Power Substation, north of Scholzen Products Company Yard.

The Hurricane City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during its regular meeting on Thursday November 12, 2009 at 6 p.m. to discuss the addition of a clause in Chapter 36, Signs, of the Land Use Code prohibiting the obstruction of existing signs with new signs.

Proposed change to section 10-36-3 L to read:

"No sign shall be constructed or erected in such a location that it obstructs or interferes with an existing sign."
