All commercial or industrial plans submitted after July 1, 2019 must meet the 2018 International Building Code. Residential plans must meet the 2015 International Residential Code.
NOTE: If you are building in a utility easement you must have a utility easement form signed by the property owner and notarized.

Building Permit Packets
Building permit fees are based on square footage.
Any residential accessory buildings (sheds, detached garages, etc.) requires a permit and must be at least 2 ft. from the back and side property lines and at least 10 ft. from the house. The maximum height is 16 ft. to the peak of the roof. If the building is going to be taller than 16 ft. you must get a Conditional Use Permit approved through Planning & Zoning first and the minimum setbacks are 5 ft from back and side property lines and 10 ft. from the house.
Schedule inspections by calling the Inspection Line listed above. We will do same day inspections. If you want a morning inspection you need to call in before 7:30 a.m. and for an afternoon inspection call before 12:00 p.m.
