PEHP - Public Employees Health Program
Hurricane City offers two (2) medical plans through Public Employees Health Plan (PEHP). Advantage Care or Summit Care are the two PEHP plans available.
Advantage Care Plan: The PEHP Advantage Care network of contracted providers consists of predominantly Intermountain HealthCare (IHC) providers and facilities. It includes thirty-seven (37) participating hospitals and more than 8,000+ participating providers.
Summit Care Plan: The PEHP Summit Care network of contracted providers consists of predominantly IASIS, MountainStar, and The University of Utah hospitals and clinics providers and facilities. It includes forty-two (42) participating hospitals and more than 8,000+ participating providers.
Hurricane City also contributes $100 a month to each full-time employee's HSA plan.
Employees can also contribute to their HSA account if they so desire. The 2023 contribution limits are as follows:
- $3,850 for Single Plans
- $7,750 for double or family Plans
- Catch-up contributions up to $1,000 for 55 years and older
Hurricane City offers dental insurance through PEHP's traditional plan. Plans are fairly similar and use the same network of dentists.
If you use an Out of Network provider, your benefits will be reduced by 20%. Out of Network providers may collect charges that exceed PEHP's In Network Rate.
For dental services covered by PEHP medical plans, there is no dental plan coverage.
